Forever Together Wins US Gr1 First Lady Stakes

Former Widden Stud shuttler Belong To Me (Danzig-Belonging, by Exclusive Native) added a US Gr1 triumph when George Strawbridge's 4YO mare Forever Together (Belong To Me-Constant Companion, by Relaunch) notched her 2nd Gr1 victory of the year with a 1.5-lengths win in the US$400,000 Gr1 First Lady Stakes (8 furlongs on turf) for fillies & mares at Keeneland. Kentucky-bred Forever Together (ridden by Julien Leparoux for trainer Jonathan Sheppard) defeated front-running & multiple Gr1-winning 5YO mare Precious Kitten (Catienus-Kitten's First, by Lear Fan) & Gr1-winning fellow 4YO mare Rutherienne (Pulpit-Ruthian, by Rahy). Previously this season Forever Together won May's Listed Reluctant Guest Stakes (8 furlongs on turf) at Arlington Park in Chicago, finished 3rd in June's Gr1 Just A Game Handicap (8 furlongs on turf) at Belmont Park, won July's Gr1 Diana Handicap (9 furlongs on turf) at Saratoga & finished 3rd in September's Gr2 Canadian Stakes (9 furlongs on turf) at Woodbine. Last season she won both the US Gr2 Forward Gal Stakes (7 furlongs) at Gulfstream Park & Listed Ocala Breeders' Sales Filly Sprint Stakes (6 furlongs), as well as finishing runner-up in the Gr2 Beaumont Stakes (7 furlongs on all-weather) at Keeneland. Overall Forever Together now has 6 wins from 13 starts.
