Halfway To Heaven Wins UK Gr1 Sun Chariot Stakes

In the UK, Ballydoyle's star 3YO filly Halfway To Heaven (Pivotal-Cassandra Go, by Indian Ridge) notched her 3rd Gr1 triumph of the year with a front-running half-length victory against older rivals in the £200,000 (A$420,000) Gr1 Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes (8 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Newmarket. Irish-bred Halfway To Heaven (ridden by Seamus Heffernan for trainer Aidan O'Brien) defeated Princess Zahra Aga Khan's favoured French home-bred multiple Gr1-winning 4YO mare Darjina (Zamindar-Darinska, by Zilzal) & fellow 3YO filly Visit (Oasis Dream-Arrive, by Kahyasi). Previousy this season Halfway To Heaven has also won both the UK Gr1 Nassau Stakes (10 furlongs) against older rivals at Goodwood & Irish Gr1 1000 Guineas (8 furlongs) at The Curragh, as well as placing in the Irish Gr1 Matron Stakes (8 furlongs) at Leopardstown, French Gr1 Poule D'Essau Des Pouliches-1000 Guineas (1600m) at Longchamp & Irish Gr3 1000 Guineas Trial Stakes (7 furlongs) at Leopardstown. Overall she now has 4 wins & 4 placings from 8 starts for £470,905 (A$988,000) earnings.
