1st Winner For French Sire Ballingarry

Also in France, multiple Gr1-winning 9YO stallion Ballingarry (Sadler's Wells-Flamenco Wave, by Desert Wine) recorded his 1st winner when Yakhy (Ballingarry-Faintly, by Dominion) scored by 1-length over 1400m at Mont-de-Marsan, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Ballingarry (whose dam Flamenco Wave was also a Gr1-winner) is a full-brother to Gr1-winning sire Aristotle & a half-brother to multiple Gr1-winning sire Starborough. Ballingarry stood the 2008 season for €5,000 (A$8,500) at Haras du Mezeray & has 54 2YOs in his 1st-crop. On the track, Ballingarry won 6 of 23 starts (including both the French 2001 Gr1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud & Canadian 2002  Gr1 Canadian International Stakes) among five group or graded stakes wins.) & earned US$1,741,049.
