In South America, multiple Gr1-winning Brazilian-bred colt Sorrentino (Wild Event-Bukebele, by Punk) added another Gr1 triumph with a 3-lengths victory in Brazil's Gr1 Grande Premio Jockey Club De Sao Paulo (2nd leg of Sao Paulo's Quadruple Crown series for 3YO colts) over 2000m on turf at Cidade Jardim. Sorrentino (ridden by Jose Aparecido Da Silva for trainer Luiz Roberto Feltran) defeated front-running fellow colt Nuestro Hermano (Roi Normand-M'afrodite, by Ghadeer) & another colt Angulo Certo (Public Purse-Hickling, by Bright Again). As a juvenile in June, Sorrentino also won Brazil's Gr1 Grande Premio Joja Adhemar De Almeida Prado (1600m) at Gavea & overall now has 5 wins (plus placings in both April's Gr2 Grande Premio Antenor Lara Campos over 1500m on turf at Cidade Jardim & February's Gr3 Clasico Presidente Augusto De Souza over 1200m at Cidade Jardim) from 7 starts.
