Thursday, 9th October 2008

In France, former Coolmore shuttler Peintre Celebre (Nureyev-Peinture Bleue, by Alydar) added a black-type success when Irish-bred daughter Kareemah (Peintre Celebre-Rahayeb, by Arazi) snatched victory by a nose in the €55,000 (A$94,000) Listed Prix Charles Laffitte (2000m) for 3YO fillies at Chantilly. Kareemah (ridden by Thierry Gillet for trainer John Hammond) defeated fellow Irish-breds Sanjida (Polish Precedent-Sanariya, by Darshaan) & front-running Changing Skies (Sadler's Wells-Magnificient Style, by Silver Hawk). Kareemah now has 2 wins from 3 starts for £28,309 (A$59,000) earnings.
