1st Win For Murphy's Blu Boy Half-Sister

Friday, 10th October 2008

Toowoomba-based Oaklands Stud sire Aucash (Danehill-All Grace, by Sir Tristram) added a new winner when a half-sister to former brilliant juvenile & now Baerami Thoroughbreds sire Murphy's Blu Boy (Blu Tusmani-Murphy's Arch, by Archregent) scored at Ballarat in Victoria. The 3YO filly Murphy's Cash (Aucash-Murphy's Arch) resumed from a 21-weeks spell to win over 1200m for trainer Lee Freedman. Murphy's Cash was the most expensive yearling ever sired by Aucash (a half-brother to multiple Gr1-winning former Australian Horse-Of-The-Year Saintly) when sold for $150,000 (bred by Ashleigh Thoroughbreds & consigned by Southern Cross Breeders) at the 2007 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. Aucash (Danehill-All Grace, by Sir Tristram) was bred by Bart Cummings & sold for $1 million as a yearling at the 1999 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney; he subsequently won 7 races in Hong Kong & Murphy's Cash is his 19th individual winner from 53 starters to date.
