5 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong yesterday, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Sha Tin:

  • 5YO gelding Holi Ravioli (Fasliyev-Curio Jade, by Varick) won over 1200m for Australian trainer John Size. Holi Ravioli was a $55,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 5YO gelding Best Friend (Scenic-Admit Anywhere, by Zabeel) won over 1600m for Australian trainer David Hall. Best Friend was a $77,500 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Be My Song (Umatilla-Honest To Goodness, by Jugah) won over 1200m for trainer Me Tsui. Be My Song was an $85,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne.
  • 4YO gelding Brilliant Chapter (Commands-Lirico, by Rigoletto) won over 1200m for Australian trainer John Size. Brilliant Chapter was a $250,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Monte Cristo (Red Ransom-Clavarias, by Candy Stripes) won over 1600m for trainer Andreas Schutz. Monte Cristo was a $120,000 yearling at the 2005 NZB Premier Sale.
