Monday, 13th October 2008

In Macau, former Chatswood Stud stallion Genuine (Sunday Silence-Croupier Lady, by What Luck) added a group success when Australian-bred 5YO gelding Club House (Genuine-Titleist, by Century) won the Gr3 Magic Millions Macau Futurity Trophy (1200m) at Taipa. Club House (ridden by Australian jockey Brent Stanley for Australian trainer Geoff Allendorf) defeated fellow Australian-bred 5YO gelding Showman (Show A Heart-Citichy, by Citidancer) & 4YO gelding Si Foo (Fusaichi Pegasus-Ascension, by Night Shift). Club House was a $51,000 yearling at the 2005 Tasmanian Thoroughbred Breeders Sale in Launceston. Earlier in 2008, Club House also won the Gr2 Macau Guineas (1500m), as well as finishing runner-up in both the Gr1 Macau Derby (1800m) & Gr2 Star Of Macau Stakes (1600m).
