UK Tatts Book 2 Day-1: $418k Oasis Dream Colt
In the UK overnight, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's bloodstock advisor John Ferguson out-bid Badgers' Bloodstock agent Grant Pritchard-Gordon & paid top price of 190,000 guineas (A$418,000) for a colt by Oasis Dream (out of Rudimentary mare Roo) during the opening session at the 3-day Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 at Park Paddocks in Newmarket. The colt (consigned from Denis Brosnan's Croom House Stud in Ireland) had received a good catalogue update via his half-brother Gallagher, who has finished 2nd in both the French Gr1 Prix Morny & UK Gr2 Mill Reef Stakes.
