Singo Eyes Sydney Autumn & Dubai For Tuesday Joy
Multiple Gr1-winning 5YO mare Tuesday Joy (Carnegie-Joie Denise, by Danehill) "has been given a reprieve" from potential retirement, after bleeding in Melbourne a fortnight ago & "will be back racing in the autumn according to John Singleton's racing manager Duncan Grimley," reported The Sydney Morning Herald. Grimley told columnist John Holloway: "The veterinary inspection showed there was only a small trickle of blood from both nostrils & we were advised that she would train on successfully after a spell. She's already back at Singleton's Strawberry Hills Stud & we are in the process of mapping out a campaign. Singo's got a great team of broodmares & Tuesday Joy is the best mare in Australia, so why not give her another go? He's talking about heading to Dubai after running in the Coolmore Classic & Queen Of The Turf (2 Gr1 races for mares) at the Golden Slipper carnival."
