Lorne Dancer Wins City Tattersalls Cup

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a black-type success when 4YO gelding Lorne Dancer (Danehill Dancer-Fabled, by Seattle Dancer) made it 4 successive victories with a decisive 3.5-lengths win in the $100,000 Listed City Tattersalls Club Cup (2400m) at Royal Randwick in Sydney. Top-weighted favourite Lorne Dancer (ridden by Peter Robl for trainer Gai Waterhouse) defeated 8YO gelding Brave Lancer (Bahhare-Fine Talk, by Lord Ballina) & 5YO gelding Detroit Song (Carnegie-Zamsong, by Zabeel). Lorne Dancer (a $70,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney) now has 7 wins (also including last start's Gr3 Craven Plate over 2000m at Randwick on October 4) & 4 placings from 13 starts for $331,020 earnings.
