Pre Eminence Wins Norman Robinson Stakes

Coolmore stallion & last season's Australia champion sire Encosta de Lago (Fairy King-Shoal Creek, by Star Way) added a group success when his colt Pre Eminence (Encosta de Lago-Lady Silver Hawk, by Silver Hawk) scored a front-running 2.25-lengths victory in the $125,000 Gr3 Norman Robinson Stakes (2000m) for 3YOs at Caulfield. Pre Eminence (ridden by Craig Newitt for trainer Mick Price) defeated the filly Miss Scarlatti (Stravinsky-Crimson, by Zabeel) & fellow colt Paddy O'Reilly (O'Reilly-Star Of Amarissa, by Assert). Pre Eminence (a NZ$320,000 yearling consigned by Curraghmore Stud at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 2 wins & 2 placings from 6 starts for $96,100 earnings.
