Jungle Pocket Adds Japan Black-Type

Tuesday, 21st October 2008

In Japan, former NZ Rich Hill Stud shuttler (he stood at Australia's Hollylodge Thoroughbreds in 2007 due to the equine influenza crisis) & 2001 Japanese Horse-Of-The-Year Jungle Pocket (Tony Bin-Dance Charmer, Nureyev) added a juvenile black-type success when his colt Schon Wald (Jungle Pocket-Schoen Kleid, by Helissio) scored by a neck in the Listed Daily Hai Nisai Stakes (1600m on turf) for 2YOs at Kyoto. Schon Wald (ridden by Yuichi Kitamura for trainer Inao Okada) defeated fellow colts Hokko Tachyon (Agnes Tachyon-Hokko Soleil, by Bamboo Atlas) & King's Regalia (King Kamehameha-Riki Serenade, by Jade Robbery). Schon Wald now has 2 wins from 3 starts.
