US Gr1 Star Tiago To Stud At Adena When Retired

US multiple Gr1-winning 4YO stallion Tiago (Pleasant Tap-Set Them Free, by Stop The Music) "will stand at Adena Springs Kentucky upon his retirement from racing," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Adena Springs owner Frank Stronach "purchased a majority interest from owners-breeders Jerry & Ann Moss". Tiago (a half-brother to 2005 Gr1 Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo, who stands at Adena Springs) is due to run in Saturday's Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic. To date, Tiago has won 5 of 16 starts & earned US$1,834,270; last year he won both the Gr1 Santa Anita Derby (9 furlongs) & Gr1 Goodwood Breeders' Cup Handicap (9 furlongs) at Santa Anita, plus the Gr2 Swaps Breeders' Cup Stakes at Hollywood Park, as well as finishing 3rd in the Gr1 Belmont Stakes (12 furlongs); & this season he finished 2nd in both June's Gr2 Californian Stakes (9 furlongs) at Hollywood Park & September's Gr1 Goodwood Breeders' Cup Stakes (9 furlongs) at Santa Anita.
