Conduit Wins US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf

Irish Ballymacoll Stud home-bred 3YO colt Conduit (Dalakhani-Well Head, by Sadler's Wells) came from 7th turning for home to score a 1.5-lengths victory against older rivals in the US$3 million Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf (12 furlongs on turf) at Santa Anita. Conduit (ridden by Ryan Moore for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated Sheikh Mohammed's UK-bred 4YO entire Eagle Mountain (Rock Of Gibraltar-Masskana, by Darshaan) & 5YO entire Dancing Forever (Rahy-Dancinginmydreams, by Seeking The Gold). At his previous start, Conduit won last month's Gr1 St Leger Stakes (14 furlongs) at Doncaster; & earlier this season he also won July's UK Gr3 Gordon Stakes (12 furlongs) at Goodwood & finished 2nd in June's Gr2 King Edward VII Stakes 12 furlongs) at Royal Ascot. Overall Conduit now has 5 wins & 3 placings from 9 starts for US$2,486,379 earnings.
