1st Winner For Canadian Freshman Sire Cappuchino

Canadian-based & multiple US Gr3-winning 9YO sire Cappuchino (Capote-Tara Roma, by Lyphard) recorded his 1st winner when Mocha Shake (Cappuchino-Sage Burner, by Cape Canaveral) scored on debut over 5.5 furlongs at Belmont Park in New York for trainer Gary Sciacca, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Cappuchino (a half-brother to Gr1-winner Serra Lake) stood the 2008 season at Canada's Highfield Stock Farm in Alberta & has 13 2YOs in his 1st-crop. On the track, Cappuchino notched 8 wins (including both the 2003 Gr3 Ack Ack Handicap at Churchill Downs & 2004 Gr3 Turfway Park Fall Championship Stakes) from 32 starts for US$509,220 earnings.
