  • 3YO filly Elude And Avoid (Elusive Quality-Night Chaser, by Encosta de Lago) won over 1200m at Turffontein against older rivals for trainer Charles Laird to take her record to 2 wins from 5 starts. Elude And Avoid was a $190,000 yearling consigned from Alanbar Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Sale.
  • 5YO mare Academy Colours (Val Royal-Watercolours, by Nassipour) won over 1600m at Turffontein for trainer Geoff Woodruff top take her record to 2 wins from 6 starts. Academy Colours was a $9,000 yearling consigned by Eliza Park at the 2005 Inglis Autumn Sale in Melbourne.
