UK Tatts HIT Day-1: $450k Vincenzio Galilei
Agent Anthony Stroud out-bid fellow agent Grant Pritchard-Gordon (standing with Australian Anthony Freedman) & paid 180,000 guineas (A$450,000) for 3-time-winning 4YO gelding Vincenzio Galilei (Galileo-Sometime, by Royal Academy) consigned from Ger Lyons' Glenburnie Stables in Ireland. Vincenzio Galilei carried a 103 Timeform rating & is similarly headed for a 2009 campaign in Dubai. Freedman (brother of Victorian trainer Lee Freedman) is at the Tattersalls Autumn Sale "looking to secure a Melbourne Cup prospect for next year".
