In the UK overnight, agent Anthony Stroud (bidding on behalf of Sultan Al Mandeel) out-bid Kern Lillingston agent Alistair Donald & paid top price of 200,000 guineas (A$500,000) for dual Gr3-winning 4YO entire Regime (Golan-Juno Madonna, by Sadler's Wells) during the opening session of the 4-day (& largest ever catalogue) at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses-In-Training Sale. Regime (consigned from Michael Bell's Fitzroy House Stables on behalf of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing) is rated 116 by Timeform & is destined for Saudi Arabia & a campaign aimed at the King's Cup; he will join the stable of Sultan Al Mandeel's father Faihan Al Mandeel (the leading Saudi Arabian trainer & winner of the King's Cup on 6 occasions).
