Derrinstown Cuts Fees For 3 Irish Sires

In Ireland, Derrinstown Stud "has released its fees for the 2009 season with 3 of its stallions receiving price reductions" reported racingpost.co.uk.

  • Alhaarth (Unfuwain-Irish Valley, by Irish River) has been cut for the 3rd successive year: dropping from €30,000 (A$57,000) in 2006, to €17,500 (A$33,250) in 2007, to €12,500 (A$23,750) in 2008 & now down another 36% for 2009 to €8,000 (A$15,200).
  • Bahri (Riverman-Wasnah, by Nijinsky) has been cut 43% from €7,000 (A$13,300) in 2008 to €4,000 (A$7,600) in 2009.
  • Intikhab (Red Ransom-Crafty Example, by Crafty Prospector) has fallen 11% from €9,000 (A$17,100) to €8,000 (A$15,200).
  • Elnadim (Danzig-Elle Seule, by Exclusive Native) has remained at €6,000 (A$11,400).
  • Marju (Last Tycoon-Flame Of Tara, by Artaius) has also remained at his 2008 fee of €20,000 (A$38,000) having previously stood at €22,500 (A$42,750) in 2007 & €25,000 (A$47,500) in 2005 & 2006.
  • New Gr2-winning stallion Haatef (Danzig-Sayedat Alhadh, by Mr Prospector) will stand for €6,500 (A$12,350).
  • New dual Gr1-winning stallion Tamayuz (Nayef-Al Ishq, by Nureyev) will stand for €15,000 (A$28,500).
