The 1st foal by 2006 US Gr1 Belmont Stakes-winning 6YO sire Jazil (Seeking The Gold-Better Than Honour, by Deputy Minister) was born at Calumet Farm in Kentucky reported thoroughbredtimes.com: a colt out of Mineshaft mare Art Affair. Jazil (a half-brother to both 2007 Gr1 Belmont Stakes winner & champion 3YO filly Rags To Riches, as well as Gr2-winner Casino Drive) stands at Sheikh Hamdan's Shadwell Farm in Kentucky for US$10,000. Jazil (a US$725,000 yearling at the 2004 Keeneland September sale) retired with 2 wins from 11 starts (plus 5 runner-ups including the 2006 Gr1 Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct & 4th in the Gr1 Kentucky Derby) for US$890,532 earnings.
