UK, Irish & French Agencies To Share Resources

Thursday, 2nd July 2009

Europe's 3 major bloodstock industry promotional agencies "are planning to share resources in attacking new overseas markets," reported racingpost.com. British Bloodstock Marketing, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing & the French Racing And Breeding Committee "are discussing ways to spread their message to other parts of the world," ITM chief executive Michael O'Hagan told delegates at a Thoroughbred Breeders Association business seminar at Newmarket in England. Explaining how BBM & ITM had co-operated to promote the recent breeze-up bonus, O'Hagan commented: "Although we have to compete at our own sales, it's time for us to unite in other areas. There are certain places - the USA, China, Russia, Australia & South America, for example - where it makes more sense for us to work together than to go our separate ways."
