Van Nistelrooy Filly Wins Peru Gr1

In South America, former NZ Trelawney Stud shuttler Van Nistelrooy (Storm Cat-Halory, by Halo) added a Gr1 triumph when US-bred 3YO filly Sparkling Oro (Van Nistelrooy-Sec Secrets, by Triple Sec) scored a 1-length victory over her older rivals in Peru's Gr1 Clasico Pamplona (2000m on grass) for fillies & mares at Hipodromo de Monterrico in Lima. Sparkling Oro (ridden by Jose Monteza for trainer Juan Suarez) defeated fellow 3YO fillies Maitena (Apprentice-Nieve Perpetua, by Devil's Moon) & Queta (Quintillon-Campbell, by Short Selling). Sparkling Oro now has 5 wins & 2 placings from 7 starts.
