Ishiguru Not Shuttling To NZ

Tuesday, 7th July 2009

In a blow for NZ Chequers Stud Ishigiru (Danzig-Strategic Maneuver, by Crypteoclearance) won't be shuttling to New Zealand this year. According to anzbloodstocknews.com, Ishiguru suffered a paddock accident in the northern hemisphere where he stands at Tweenhills Farm in England. Chequers Stud manager Chris Campin said there were conflicting veterinary reports on the viability of Ishiguru shuttling and "it was decided to err on the side of caution." Already the sire of Group winners in both hemispheres, Ishiguru was to have stood for NZ$7,000+GST.
