Beadman Back From HK For Sydney Trackwork

Thursday, 9th July 2009

Leading Australian jockey Darren Beadman has returned from Hong Kong to ride trackwork, reported The Daily Telegraph. Beadman was at Randwick yesterday after applying for his jockey license for the new season, and commented, "Hong Kong racing has stopped (for the holidays), but I have to fill out these papers so I can ride a few horses in trackwork." At Hong Kong's final race meeting for the season at Sha Tin, Beadman notched a winning double (on 7YO gelding Ever King & 4YO gelding Fortune Haven), to wrap up the season in 5th place with 41 winners. Beadman's Hong Kong season included victories in the Gr1 HK Derby (4YO gelding Collection) & the Gr1 HK Citi Gold Cup (7YO gelding Viva Pataca), plus last December's Gr1 HK International Sprint (5YO gelding Inspiration).
