Zabeel Closes Gap In NZ Centaine Award

Tuesday, 21st July 2009

New Zealand's Centaine Stallion Award (ranked on the sire whose NZ-conceived progeny for the season under review has accumulated the highest stakes earnings worldwide) is turning into a nail-biting affair between Waikato Stud stallion O'Reilly & evergreen Cambridge Stud sire Zabeel who racked up 4 winners in Australia over the weekend. Zabeel also sired the runner-up of last week's Grafton Cup, and now finds himself about NZ$170,000 shy of O'Reilly's NZ$12,789,365 total.
