Fasig-Tipton 2: BC3 Thoroughbreds Buys Speightstown Colt
Meanwhile on Day-2 of the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale, Australia's BC3 Thoroughbreds went to US$335,000 to purchase a Speightstown colt out of Motel Lass (by Bates Motel). Signed for by BC3 Thoroughbreds CEO Bill Vlahos, the colt was purchased with the assistance of BC3's yearling advisor John Brocklebank. Vlahos told bloodhorse.com that, "the goal is to buy 30 horses on each of those continents that could be turned over for profit. He said the U.S. horses will be sent to the company's farm in Utah to be prepped for next year's Fasig-Tipton 2-year-old sales. "BC3 Thoroughbreds is conducting a private sale of 2YOs in Victoria on August 23 that it has purchased in Australia.
