King's Best Adds UK Black-Type

In the UK overnight, former Darley shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a black-type success when Irish-bred 4YO entire Khateeb (King's Best-Choc Ice, by Kahyasi) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the £45,000 (A$92,000) Listed Pomfret Stakes (8 furlongs) at Pontefract. Khateeb (ridden by Tadhg O'Shea for trainer Michael Jarvis) defeated Irish-bred 3YO colt Orizaba (Orpen-Jus'chillin', by Elbio) & Irish-bred 4YO gelding Perks (Selkirk-Green Charter, by Green Desert).
