Gr1-Winning US Sire Beau Genius Pensioned

In the US, Gr1-winning stallion Beau Genius (Bold Ruckus-Royal Colleen, by Viceregal) has been pensioned at Ballena Vista Farm in California aged 24. Beau Genius (who stood at Vinery in Kentucky before moving to Ballena Vista in 2000) has sired 39 stakes-winners (including Irish Gr1-winner Belle Genius in his 1st-crop & 9-times stakes-winner Beau's Town); he is also broodmare sire of 33 stakes-winners (including Gr1-winner Sis City). On the track, Canadian-bred Beau Genius won 19 of 42 starts & earned US$1,055,600; his 9 stakes victories included the Gr1 Philip Iselin Handicap, Gr2 Michigan Mile And One-Eighth Handicap & Listed Arlington Cup Challenge Stakes.
