Aust-Bred Danzero Son Wins Hong Kong Gr3

In Hong Kong, Gr1 Golden Slipper-winning Arrowfield Stud sire Danzero (Danehill-Confidentially, by Kaoru Star) added a group success when Australian-bred 5YO gelding Happy Zero (Danzero-Have Love, by Canny Lad) led in an Australian-bred trifecta with a 1.25-lengths victory in the HK$2.3 million (A$345,000) Gr3 Sha Tin Sprint Trophy Handicap (1000m) at Sha Tin. Happy Zero (ridden by Weichong Marwing for Australian trainer John Moore) defeated fellow Australian-bred 5YO geldings One World (Danehill Dancer-River Serenade, by Hurricane Sky) & Brilliant Chapter (Commands-Lirico, by Rigoletto). Happy Zero (a $425,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) took his record to 6 wins from 7 starts for HK$4,158,750 (A$620,000). (Click on the horse name to watch the race.)
