Interpatation Wins US Gr1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic

Former Vinery Stud shuttler Langfuhr (Danzig-Sweet Briar Too, by Briartic) added a US Gr1 triumph when 7YO gelding Interpatation (Langfuhr-Idealistic Cause, by Habitony) scored a 1-75-lengths victory in the US$600,000 Gr1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational Stakes (12 furlongs on turf) at Belmont Park (after finishing runner-up in this same race last year & 3rd in 2007). Interpatation (ridden by Robby Albarado for trainer Robert Barbara) defeated 4YO entire Gio Ponti (Tale Of The Cat-Chipeta Springs, by Alydar) & UK-bred 6YO entire Grand Couturier (Grand Lodge-Lady Elgar, by Sadler's Wells) who won this race last year.
