Tuesday, 6th October 2009

Former shuttler & now permanently Australian-based Coolmore stallion Royal Academy (Nijinsky-Crimson Saint, by Crimson Satan) added a black-type success when Patinack Farm's 6YO entire Raheeb (Royal Academy-Gatana, by Marauding) scored a 2.75-lengths victory in the $125,000 Listed Superstable Stakes (1400m) for 4YOs & up at Flemington. Raheeb (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Mick Price) defeated favoured 5YO gelding Rightfully Yours (Show a Heart-Academy Of Dreams, by Royal Academy) & 4YO entire Dr Doute's (Redoute's Choice-No Limit, by Dr Grace).
