Spinning World Adds Irish Gr3

In Ireland, Coolmore shuttler Spinning World (Nureyev-Imperfect Circle, by Riverman) added a group success when 6YO gelding Duff (Spinning World-Shining Prospect, by Lycius) notched his 2nd group win in 3 weeks with a 0.75-length victory in the €72,000 (A$122,000) Gr3 Concorde Stakes (7.5 furlongs) at Tipperary. Duff (ridden by Fran Berry for trainer Eddie Lynam) defeated 4YO gelding Dohasa (Bold Fact-Zara's Birthday, by Waajib) & 4YO entire Three Rocks (Rock Of Gibraltar-Top Crystal, by Sadler's Wells). At his previous start, Duff won September's UK Gr2 Park Stakes (7 furlongs) at Doncaster & earlier this season also won June's Irish Gr3 Ballycorus Stakes (7 furlongs) at Leopardstown. Overall Duff now has 8 wins (also including 2008's UK Listed Sunbury Stakes over 7 furlongs at Kempton Park, UK Listed Golden Rose Stakes over 6 furlongs at Lingfield Park & Ireland's Listed Platinum Stakes over 8 furlongs at Cork, plus 2007's UK Listed City Of York Stakes over 7 furlongs at York) & 7 placings (including February's UK Listed Cleves Stakes over 6 furlongs at Lingfield Park, plus both 2007's UK Gr2 Park Stakes over 7 furlongs at Doncaster & Ireland's Listed Platinum Stakes over 8 furlongs at Cork, as well as both 2006's UK Listed Guisborough Stakes over 7 furlongs at Redcar & Ireland's Listed Platinum Stakes over 8 furlongs at Cork, in addition to 2005's Irish Listed Rochestown Stakes over 6 furlongs at Cork) from 26 starts for €370,977 (A$631,000) earnings.
