Sweet Cheeks Wins Maribyrnong Trial Stakes

Tuesday, 6th October 2009

Ill-fated dual Gr1-winning Widden Stud stallion General Nediym (Nediym-Military Belle, by Without Fear) added a juvenile black-type success when daughter Sweet Cheeks (General Nediym-Captain's Command, by Volksraad) scored a 1.75-lengths victory over her male rivals in the $100,000 Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (1000m) for 2YOs at Flemington. Sweet Cheeks (ridden by Brent Evans for trainer John McArdle) defeated fellow filly Divine Choice (Rock Of Gibraltar-Smart Company, by Mister C) & favoured colt Pellizotti (Stratum-Red Labelle, by Blevic). Sweet Cheeks earned $61,000 for her initial victory. (Click on the link for full race details from Group Race Results at AAP Racing.)
