Gr1-Winner Mi Sueno Retired To Stud

Thursday, 8th October 2009

This season's Gr1-winning 2YO filly Mi Sueno (Pulpit-Madcap Escapade, by Hennessy) "has been retired from racing because of a condylar fracture of her right front cannon bone" (following a workout at Hollywood Park) & "plans call for her to be bred in 2010" reported bloodhorse.com. Mi Sueno (a US$1.7 million weanling at the 2007 Keeneland November Sale) raced for Southern Equine Stable (owned by Michael Moreno & trainer Eric Guillot). Last start she won September's Gr1 Darley Debutante Stakes (7 furlongs) at Del Mar, to follow victory in August's Gr2 Sorrento Stakes (6.5 furlongs) at Del Mar; overall Mi Sueno (the 1st foal out of Gr1-winner Madcap Escapade) retires with 2 wins & 2 runners-up from 4 starts for US$288,400 earnings.
