In Singapore, 7 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Kranji (click on the horse name to watch each race):

  • 3YO gelding Better Than Ever (French Deputy-Songfest, by Unbridled's Song) won over 1200m for trainer Laurie Laxon. Better Than Ever was a NZ$80,000 yearling at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka.
  • 4YO gelding Glory Knight (Blevic-Trois La Femme, by Danehill Dancer) won over 1700m for trainer Desmond Koh.
  • 4YO gelding Montego Bay (Anabaa-Lady Of Persia, by Persian Bold) won over 1200m for trainer Stephen Gray. Montego Bay was a $92,500 weanling at the 2006 Magic Millions Winter Sale & subsequently passed-in as a yearling for $90,000 at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 6YO gelding Corragio (Shagny-Tulkara, by Blevic) won over 2000m for Australian trainer Clifford Brown.
  • 4YO gelding Smart Excel (Exceed And Excel-Catalyst, by Tabasco Cat) won over 1000m for trainer Mohd Yusof. Smart Excel was a $290,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 5YO gelding Superb (High Yield-Love Dream, by Fairy King) won over 1600m for Australian trainer John Meagher. Superb was a $16,000 weanling at the 2005 Inglis Australian Select Sale & subsequently a $30,000 yearling at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Best Knight (King's Best-High Express, by Success Express) won over 1400m for trainer Brian Dean. Best Knight was a $5,500 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Summer Sale & subsequently a $25,000 2YO at the 2007 Magic Millions Perth Horses-In-Training Sale.
