Homeboykris Wins US Gr1 Champagne Stakes

US Gr1-winning millionaire 7YO freshman stallion Roman Ruler (Fusaichi Pegasus-Silvery Swan, by Silver Deputy) added his 1st Gr1 triumph when gelded son Homeboykris (Roman Ruler-One Last Salute, by Salutely) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the US$400,000 Gr1 Champagne Stakes (8 furlongs) for 2YOs at Belmont Park in New York. Homeboykris (ridden by Edgar Prado for trainer Richard Dutrow) defeated the colts Discreetly Mine (Mineshaft-Pretty Discreet, by Private Account) & Aspire (Tale Of The Cat-Mamselle Nanette, by Southern Halo). Homeboykris (a US$50,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale & subsequently a US$11,000 2YO at the 2009 Ocala Breeders March Sale) took his record to 2 wins from 3 starts for US$254,550 earnings.
