1st Stakes-Winner For US Sire Roar Of The Tiger

In Canada, US-based 10-year-old stallion & 2nd-crop sire Roar Of the Tiger (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when unbeaten US-bred juvenile colt Bear Tough Guy (Roar Of The Tiger-Lady Cruella, by Capote) scored by a neck in the C$197,000 Gr3 Grey Stakes (8.5 furlongs on all-weather) for 2YOs at Woodbine. Bear Tough Guy (ridden by Eurico Rosa Da Silva for trainer Reade Baker) defeated fellow colt Korvette Kid (Lemon Drop Kid-Bold Ruritana, by Bold Ruckus) & the gelding Mobthewarrior (Mobil-Little Warrior, by Woodman). Bear Tough Guy (a US$27,000 2YO at the 2009 Ocala Breeders April Sale) took his record to 2 wins from 2 starts. His sire Roar Of The Tiger stood the 2009 breeding season at Hartley/De Renzo-Walmac South in Florida for US$6,000. On the track, Roar Of The Tiger recorded 4 wins & 2 placings from 11 starts.
