Also in the US, 6YO gelding Presious Passion (Royal Anthem-Princesa's Passion, by Marquetry) scored a front-running 2.5-lengths victory in the US$300,000 Gr1 Clement Hirsch Memorial Turf Championship (10 furlongs on turf) at Santa Anita Park in California. Presious Passion (ridden by Elvis Trujillo for trainer Mary Hartmann) defeated UK-bred 5YO gelding Medici Code (Medicean-Fiveofive, by Fairy King) & 7YO gelding Spring House (Chester House-Spring Star, by Itajara).
