Canb Rider Leaves Hospital But Surgery On Friday
Canberra-base apprentice jockey Taylor Lovelock-Wiggins was released from hospital yesterday, but will undergo minor surgery later this week after suffering head injuries (including a fractured skull & jaw, plus "swelling & bleeding on the brain") in addition to broken fingers in a race fall at Gundagai last Friday. Racing NSW jockey safety officer Maurice Logue confirmed: "Doctors are pleased with Taylor's progress. The blood clot in his brain is reducing, however Taylor will return on Friday for day surgery on his finger & eye socket."
