Light Vision Promoted Into Gr1 Caulfield Cup Field

Wednesday, 14th October 2009

The Melbourne Racing Club committee yesterday used its discretion to promote 6YO gelding Light Vision (Zerpour-Switches, by Naturalism) into the final field for Saturday's $2.5 million Gr1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) after 4 horses shared equal 18th spot in the final order-of-entry. The other gallopers Baughurst, Shocking & Newport were named the 1st 3 emergencies (in that order) & the official barrier draw will now proceed at 11am today. Last start Light Vision won the Listed The Bart Cummings (2500m) at Flemington on October 3 (to win that race for the 2nd successive year) & at his previous run finished 2nd in September's Gr3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield.
