US Sire Tropical Storm Moves To Hurstland Farm

Friday, 16th October 2009

US 2md-crop sire Tropical Storm (Storm Cat-Pearl City, by Carson City) will stand the 2010 breeding season at Hurstland Farm in Kentucky, reported bloodhorse.com. Tropical Storm's Gr1-winning dam Pearl City is a half-sister to deceased Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Hennessy (also by Storm Cat & the sire of 68 stakes-winners) who at the time of his 2007 death stood for US$60,000 at Ashford Stud in Kentucky. Tropical Storm has produced more than 50% winners-from-starters & has 100% 2YO winners-from-starters this season (including Little Bud Bud who set a track record in his debut in April at Golden Gate Fields). Tropical Storm began his stud career at Hopewell Farm for his initial 2 seasons & has been at Walmac Farm for the last 3 seasons (where his 2009 fee was US$5,000).
