US Sire Alke Sold To Stand In Thailand

Elsewhere in Asia, US Gr3-winning 9YO stallion Alke (Grand Slam-Pasampsi, by Crow) has been sold to stand at Sawangjai Farms in Thailand in 2010, reported bloodhorse.com. Alke (who had been standing at Dr Tom Simon's Vinery Stud in Florida) boasts 42 individual winners from his initial 2 American crops to race. On the track Alke won the US Gr3 2004 Deputy Minister Handicap at Gulfstream Park (plus runner-up in each of the UAE Gr1 Dubai Golden Shaheen, US Gr3 Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs & US Listed Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park) for US$619,385 earnings.
