2nd Stakes-Winner for Europe Freshman Firebreak
UK freshman sire Firebreak (Charnwood Forest-Breakaway, by Song) also recorded his 2nd stakes-winner when US-bred juvenile daughter Electric Feel (Firebreak-Night Gypsy, by Mind Games) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the £30,000 (A$54,000) Listed Radley Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YO fillies at Newbury. Electric Feel (ridden by Andrea Atzeni for trainer Marco Botti) defeated Irish-bred Za Za Zoom (Le Vie Dei Colori-Emma's Star, by Darshaan) & Pipette (Pivotal-Amaryllis, by Sadler's Wells). Electric Feel was initially a £28,000 (A$50,000) yearling at the 2008 Doncaster August Sale & subsequently a £36,000 (A$65,000) 2YO at the 2009 Doncaster April Sale. Previously this season Electric Feel also finished runner-up in the UK Gr3 Oh So Sharp Stakes (7 furlongs) at Newmarket on October 2 & 3rd in June's UK Listed Empress Stakes (6 furlongs) at Newmarket. Overall she now has 2 wins & 2 placings from 5 starts.
