Monday, 26th October 2009

Windsor Park Stud stallion King's Chapel (King Of Kings-Lower Chapel, by Sharpo) added a black-type success when gelded son King's Ransom (King's Chapel-Joan, by Colonel Collins) scored by a neck in yesterday's NZ$45,000 Listed Royal Gem @ Stoney Bridge Canterbury Stakes (1600m) for 3YOs at Riccarton Park. King's Ransom (ridden by Opie Bosson for trainer Mark Walker) defeated the fillies Comme Tu Veux (Howbaddouwantit-Justa Babe, by Flying Spur) & favourite Our Ella Belle (Encosta de Lago-Kirin Belle, by McGinty). King's Ransom (a NZ$75,000 yearling consigned by Windsor Park at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale) now has 3 wins (also including January's Gr2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes over 1200m at Trentham & February's Listed Fairview Ford Matamata Slipper over 1200m at Matamata) & 2 placings from 8 starts for NZ$135,025 earnings.
