Kentucky Yearlings Day-1: US$85k Wildcat Heir Colt
In the US, Florida pin-hooker Dave McKathan (acting via MH&B) paid top price of US$85,000 for a colt by leading freshman sire Wildcat Heir (who boasts 26 winners from his 1st-crop) during the opening session at the 3-day Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale at Newtown Paddocks in Lexington. The Florida-bred colt (a half-brother to stakes-winners Lizzy’s Township & Many Kisses) was consigned by Beth Bayer as agent & is out of 16-year-old unraced Black Tie Affair mare Tarahumara. The colt was previously passed-in for US$32,000 at the Ocala Breeders August sale.
