7 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong yesterday, 7 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley (click on the horse name to watch a video replay of each race):

  • 7YO gelding Not Quite Perfect (Fraar-Flying Esra, by At Talaq) won over 1000m for trainer Almond Lee.
  • 6YO gelding Whatafantasy (Encosta de Lago-Café Bleu, by Bluebird) won over 1200m for trainer Me Tsui. Whatafantasy was a $205,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 5YO gelding Sky Walker (Dash For Cash-Court Dancer, by Rokosz) won over 1650m for trainer Sean Woods. Sky Walker was a $46,000 yearling at the 2006 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
  • 6YO gelding Happy Go Lucky (Quest For Fame-Omens, by Octagonal) won over 1650m for trainer Caspar Fownes.
  • 6YO gelding Star Of Fame (Quest For Fame-Star of Danehill, by Danehill) won over 1200m for trainer Tony Millard. Star Of Fame was passed-in as a yearling for $72,500 at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 6YO gelding Mellifluous (King Cugat-Marloo, by Palace Music) won over 1650m for trainer Danny Shum. Mellifluous was a $4,500 weanling at the 2004 Inglis Select Weanling Sale & then an $8,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Summer Sale.
  • 6YO gelding Operation Secret (King Cugat-Chateaux Loire, by Fairy King) won over 1650m for trainer Derek Cruz. Operation Secret was a $25,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney.
