Aust-Bred French Deputy Son Wins Singapore Gr3

In Singapore yesterday, former Arrowfield Stud shuttler & Japan's 2004 Champion 1st Season Sire French Deputy (Deputy Minister-Mitterand, by Hold Your Peace) added a group success when unbeaten Australian-bred gelding Better Than Ever (French Deputy-Songfest, by Unbridled's Song) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the S$200,000 (A$160,000) Gr3 Steward's Cup (1400m) for 3YOs at Kranji. Better Than Ever (ridden by Saimee Jumaat for trainer Laurie Laxon) lead in an Australian-bred trifecta by defeating fellow geldings Always Certain (Not A Single Doubt-Akarana, by Akaaber) & Super Lucky Colour (Blevic-Beautician, by Carry A Smile).
