Conduit Sold To Big Red Farm For 2010 Japan Duty

Meanwhile triple Gr1-winning Irish-bred 4YO entire Conduit (Dalakhani-Well Head, by Sadler's Wells) has been sold to Big Red Farm in Japan, where he will stand the 2010 breeding season. Conduit (due to defend his title in next weekend's US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf & also entered Gr1 Japan Cup on November 29) won July's UK Gr1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (12 furlongs) at Ascot, after placing in both the UK Gr1 Eclipse Stakes (10 furlongs) at Sandown Park & Gr3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes (10 furlongs) at Sandown. Last year he was crowned 2008 US Eclipse Award Winner as Champion Male Turf Horse, after winning the US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf (12 furlongs) at Santa Anita, UK Gr1 St Leger Stakes (14 furlongs) at Doncaster & UK Gr3 Gordon Stakes (12 furlongs) at Goodwood, as well as placing in the UK Gr2 King Edward VII Stakes (12 furlongs) at Royal Ascot. Most recently he finished 4th in October's French Gr1 Prix De l'Arc De Triomphe & overall now has 6 wins & 5 placings from 13 starts for US$3,755,300 earnings.
