Monday, 2nd November 2009

In Germany overnight, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) also added a black-type success when Irish-bred 3YO filly Persefona (Montjeu-Top Forty, by Rainbow Quest) scored a half-length victory in the €20,000 (A$32,000) Listed Herbst Stuten Steher-Preis (2200m) for fillies & mares at Hannover. Persefona (ridden by Pascal Werning for trainer Karen Haustein) defeated fellow 3YO fillies Bolivia (Monsun-Be My Lady, by Be My Guest) & Hawsa (Rahy-Jood, by Nijinsky).
